Rest Upon Me

From this,

I take off to fly a ribbon of beauty

from the valley of that mountain

to the throbbing sea

Gently,

I feel the fires settle

Sense a cleansing of the maddened rubbish

The morning star makes its way

through the clouds and shines upon me

From the waters, She whispers,

Welcome home and stay awhile

You were the sun when you could not see me

I'll question

How could that be?

Because you did not walk away,

labored through the desert

You held her

with love

My love

to set her free

Dear Friend,

Anoint me with your cleansing waters, so the song of Your loving and compassionate Spirit rests upon me to bring life to those held in captivity.

Until,

Marie
