Today

Today, I raise up in prayer -

individuals who are caring for an elderly parent

individuals who are caring for someone with dementia

individuals who are caring for someone with Alzheimer's

individuals who are caring for someone with an illness

Today, I raise up in prayer -

individuals who are alone

at home

in a hospital

in a rehabilitation facility

in a senior living community

and their loved ones who cannot

physically be with them

hug them

hold them

kiss them

laugh with them

cry with them

Today, I raise up in prayer -

individuals within our human family who are dying alone

without a loved one

sitting at their death bed

holding their hand

praying over them

blessing them

kissing them

telling them

it's ok to go.....

Today, I raise up in prayer -

individuals within our human family who are losing

their friend

their mother

their father

their brother

their sister

their grandmother

their grandfather

their aunt

their uncle

their child

to death.....

without a vigil

without a wake

without a funeral

even though

the holiness of incense

will sweetly blend

with the choirs of angels

embracing these beloved individuals

welcoming them,

Home

Today, I raise up in prayer -

all the mourning

all the love

all the hope

all the light

that breaks the darkness of -

Today

Until,

Marie
