Some days I get caught up with memories. Today is one of them since my dad died 24 years ago. It's always a special day for me to be a little quieter, reflect, and remember how great of a role model he was. A haiku for him because some days, that's all I have.

Oh my dad my dad

The fish, the lake, family

My angel is he

Dear Friend,

Are you there when I talk to You? No matter how long it has been, losing a parent is hard, the void so deep. They say time heals. But does it? Some days, the loss feels like just yesterday. But then the present fills the hole with the existence of memories which awakens the life and hope to move forward to tomorrow.
